Namekagon River: Wisconsin's Moving National Park

Sawyer County - Maps 1 & 2

Sawyer County is home to approximately 20 of the nearly 100 miles of the Namekagon River. With nearly a quarter of the Namekagon flowing through Sawyer County, it's no wonder why the area is a popular stop for folks visiting this little known national park. The Sawyer County stretch of river begins between the Pacwawong Flowage Landing and the Thompson Bridge Landing and continues through the Hayward Landing and West River Landing.

Sawyer County offers two outfitters, over 10 river-access campsites, motel accommodations, private vacation home and campgrounds along the river.
